This vineyard in the far west region of Santa Barbara County was biodynamicaly farmed by pinot noir pioneer Richard Sanford who is credited with planting the first pinot vines in the region. This elegant and sophisticated wine has black forest cake and cherry cola on the nose, a palate of dark cherry and raspberry, and a long lingering finish. Pair this with lean beef, lamb, veal, pork and duck.
Our favorite central coast vineyard, located just east of Monterey Bay, has foggy mornings, breezy afternoons and a long drawn out growing season. Rosella's Vineyard has a well known reputation for producing balanced and sophisticated pinot noir wines with an elegance that is unforgettable. The vineyard is farmed by Santa Lucia Highlands legend Gary Franscioni, whose family has been farming the Salinas Valley for over one hundred years. Our 2009 Rosella's has a velvety raspberry palate with a hint of blood orange and alluring floral aromas.
Gap’s Crown is perched on the western edge of Sonoma Mountain in the Petaluma Gap region, which provides cool breezes from the San Pablo Bay creating a fog pocket around the vineyard. This allows the fruit to ripen slowly while developing sugar and phenolic ripeness in unison. This highly acclaimed vineyard is a favorite for some top Pinot Noir producers like Kosta Browne, MacPhail and Pattz & Hall. Furthermore Pinot Noir's 2009 Gap's Crown has a deep ruby-red color with some luscious blackberry fruit and aromas of crushed cranberries.
This Sonoma County gem of a vineyard is indicative of what Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is all about. Kosta Browne and Siduri helped to make this vineyard famous and we have been fortunate enough to work with this seductive fruit since 2007. Our 2009 Amber Ridge Pinot Noir has luscious bing cherry on the palate and is full-bodied, elegant and balanced - ending with a long, lingering finish.
This wine won a gold medal in the San Francisco International Wine Competition. Bohemian Vineyard, located in Freestone, benefits from the morning and evening coastal fog. This makes the vines struggle to reach ripeness, providing for complex flavor profiles of black cherry, eucalyptus and cola. This is a beautiful food wine that pairs well with a variety of foods including salmon, chicken, pork and lean beef.
